Biography
Stefano Parisse
Born in Rome, he began his musical studies with Ermi Santi and under his guidance he obtained a diploma in piano.
He studied orchestral conducting with Massimo Pradella and completed an apprenticeship in productions of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma directed by Nello Santi, Donato Renzetti, Renato Palumbo, Gianluigi Gelmetti; obtained the diploma from the Experimental School of Reading of the Main Score at the “S. Cecilia” with Andrea Baggioli.
He perfected his training by participating in masterclasses in opera conducting, score reading and chamber music.
His concert activity as a pianist and director reflects the vastness of his musical interests and sees him tackle programs ranging from the Renaissance to the historical twentieth century with stylistic rigor.
He conducts in concert form the first Russian performance in modern times of “La Finta Amante” by Giovanni Paisiello at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, performs at the 39th Baroque Music Festival in Viterbo, and records for the Italian Radio and Television.
He plays in Rome at the “La Sapienza” University, in the Academic Hall of the S. Cecilia Conservatory, at the Palladium theater, at the Ghione theater. At the invitation of Alitalia he performs on the piano in unusual venues such as the airports of Rome and L’Aquila.
Choir director
As choir director he appears in the main Roman basilicas; with the “Renaissance” ensemble he deepens the analysis and vocal style of ancient polyphonic music.
RAI conferences and concerts
He holds conferences and concert lessons; for the Italian Radio and Television he talks about the composers working in Rome in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

The EDT Yearbook of Opera in Italy 2009 reports his performance of the original piano version of Emmanuel Chabrier’s chamber opera “Une éducation manquée”; the international scientific magazine “Gerbertus” and the 2012-2013 solo recitals at “La Sapienza” university.
